Its about Vodka, just to state it in the beginning and make the point.
Square One released a new vodka with 8 organic botanicals in it and starting now to make some hype around it, but using
Gin and not
Vodka for their marketing...
CEO Allison Evanow explains the usage of
Gin in the following way: "While we are definitely not trying to be a juniper-less gin, I do think, for example, that our taste profile will bring non-gin drinkers into the botanical fold." She also feels that this mélange will continue to satisfy botanical spirit cocktail geeks with a new flavor profile not found in gins, aquavits and genevers.
Does nobody listen if they talk about new Vodka, so they must use
Gin to sell it?
Wow...
So what is Gin and is there a "juniper-less gin"?
There is a short and simple
answer: In all types of gin, the predominant flavour of must be juniper.
So, please stop to confuse people with your "Gin-Talking" and call it what it is: Vodka with fancy botanicals!
